Appendectomy is a surgical operation in which the vermiform appendix is removed. Appendectomy is normally performed as urgent and emergency procedure to treat complicated acute appendicitis. Appendectomy may be performing Laparoscopically as an open operation.
A blockage in the lining of the appendix that is results in the infection is likely cause appendicitis. The bacteria multiplied repeatedly cause the appendix to become infected swollen and filled with pus. If not treated on, Appendix can rapture.
